Curator Trick – Recovering GRT.

It is possible to retrieve GRT from deprecated subgraphs. Though, be aware that due to the bonding curve, it might be (significantly) less than you put in. This means that you may be able to recover some of your GRT but the amount you can recover could be less as your generation shares may have decreased in value before the subgraph was deprecated.

Updated Version: You can now easily recover your GRT by following these steps:

  • Step 1: Go to your profile in The Graph Explorer while being connected with your wallet
  • Step 2: Go to the Curation page

  • Step 3: Find the subgraph in question and withdraw

Alternative: You can recover your GRT by following the following steps

  • Step 1: Go to the GraphProxy
  • Step 2: Find the withdraw function
  • Step 3: Find the subgraph ID of the deprecated subgraph (ex. 0x2382ab6c2099474cf424560a370ed1b1fdb65253-0).

    For the graphAccount enter the first part of the subgraph ID (ex. 0x2382ab6c2099474cf424560a370ed1b1fdb65253)

    For the subgraphNumber enter the second part of the subgraph ID (ex. 0)

  • Step 4: Write the txn (connect Etherscan to your MetaMask wallet)

If the above steps do not work and all the information in Step 3 is correct, then your first troubleshooting step is to reconnect wallet

Go to the GraphProxy, which can be found here: https://etherscan.io/address/0xadca0dd4729c8ba3acf3e99f3a9f471ef37b6825#writeProxyContract and locate the withdraw function at the bottom of the page:

Next, find the subgraph ID of the deprecated subgraph (ex. 0x2382ab6c2099474cf424560a370ed1b1fdb65253-0). Deprecated subgraphs are removed from the explorer. But you can still see them in your profile.

For the graphAccount enter the first part of the subgraph ID (ex. 0x2382ab6c2099474cf424560a370ed1b1fdb65253)

For the subgraphNumber enter the second part of the subgraph ID (ex. 0)

Write the txn (connect Etherscan to your MetaMask wallet)
